 EXERCISE 1: Change the following active sentences into passive forms.

1. They are building a new ring-road round the city: A new ring-road round the city are being built by them.

2. They have changed the date of the meeting: The date of the meeting have been changed by them.

3. Is Professor Rivers teaching that course this semester? : Is that course this semester is being taught by Proffesor Rivers?

4. Waitresses and waiters serve costumers. : Costumers are served by waitresses dan waitress.
5. Hundreds of people visit the Washington Monument everyday. :  The Washington Monument are visited by hundreds of people.
6. They don't pay Jim very much : Jim did not paid very much by them
7. These students are learning the passive.The passive are being learned by those students
8. Somebody has shot the president.The president has been shot by somebody

EXERCISE 2 : Change the following passive sentences into active forms

1. That report is being prepared by Alex. : Alex is preparing that report
2. A new idea has been suggested by Shirley. : Shirley has suggested a new idea. 
3. Have you ever been bitten by a dog? : Has a dog ever bite you?
4. Our homework is corrected by our teacher. : Our teacher corrects our homework
5. That proposal is being considered by the members right now. : The members are considering that proposal right now
6. Two buildings have been constructed by that company. : That company has constructed two buildings
7. The mail is opened by the secretary every morning. : The secretary opens the mail every morning
8. The truck is being loaded by the men now. : The men are loading the truck now.
